One of our own Memphians, Tam Tran, a graduate with a degree in journalism from the University of Memphis has been accepted into the Whitney Biennial 2010 exhibition. After showcasing her work at the Power House this pass summer, Tran, along with two other artists were chosen as candidates. For those of you who are not familiar with the Whitney Biennial, it is one of the high honor art exhibition space in New York.

Of the fifty-five artists included in the exhibition, Tran is the youngest (at the age of twenty-three) and is the only Memphian.
